Thea, MD

My name is Thea, and I am a designer turned medical school. In college, I studied Engineering: Product Design at Stanford University and spent several years working in product design for health tech companies. Frustrated by our healthcare system and the way medical care was being delivered, I went to medical school at the University of Colorado hoping that I could help design a better system–though I wasn’t exactly sure how.

Today, I am a resident in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Vanderbilt who will hopefully, eventually, become a sports medicine physician. I still do not know how to design a better healthcare system nor do I know how to fix our current one, but I am here to figure it out. Upon hearing my goals, one of my mentors, a famous writer, suggested that I start a blog. So, here it is.

This website is a collection of health, design, and my thoughts on other things that life has to offer.

I love hearing from you, so please do not hesitate to reach out!
